Hello, my name is Lily and I am a software enthusiast.

This blog is a tool I use to keep developing myself professionally and share my passion about working in teams to develop enterprise software. You’ll read a lot about working on IT projects, how be succesful in those projects, and the best way to work in distributed teams. I also write about enterprise software such as MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) and more recently virtual reality for the enterprise.

Although I enjoy all software, MES holds a special place in my heart.

So much of what software and information systems do is analyze data to get people to buy services and see offerings. These are all important areas but what is really cool about MES is that at the end of the day you can look onto the factory floor and see operators using your screens to actually build products. By working with Manufacturing Execution Systems you’re helping build the world of tomorrow.

Of course strategies to implement MES can be used for other software as well. Development methodologies, how to work in a team, the best way to test the software, etc. are all areas that are hit IT implementations.

I also plan to use this blog as a medium to share my industry knowledge in digestible ways that make it easy to experiment with. By sharing my years of “lessons learned” I hope to ease the pain points in your projects.

Take a look around. I hope you are inspired by technology and how we’re using it to build the world of tomorrow.
